Your Markly account is created on the site with your phone number — it holds your work, your scores and your plan. Mark is in closed beta, so his number is handed out to approved accounts.
Sign in with your number
One tap on getmarkly.app. No password to invent — Mark texts a six-digit code to your iMessage number, and that same number is the one he'll use for your revision.
Request the beta
Ask for Mark from your dashboard. We approve in batches, oldest request first, and email you the moment you are through.
Get his number
Once approved, Mark's number appears in your account. Text him once and the conversation is linked to it for good.
Your work stays yours
Markly is built for university students, and anyone sixteen and over can use it — so the boring parts are not optional.
Answers, photos and scores live in an encrypted database in the EU (Frankfurt), tied to your account alone. Encrypted in transit and at rest, backed up nightly.
Sign-in is a code Mark texts to your own number, checked by Supabase. Sessions are short-lived and device-bound, and one click drops them everywhere.
Your work is never used to train a model. No advertising, no third-party trackers, no selling data to anyone.
Text Mark "delete everything" and the account and its history are gone within 24 hours. You can export a copy of it first.
Where do the questions come from?
From your own material. You upload your past papers, problem sheets, mark schemes and syllabus, and every question Markly sets traces back to a page of one of them. It never writes a question of its own — if a topic is not in what you have uploaded, it says so and asks for the paper rather than inventing something.
How does the marking work?
Against the mark scheme for that question, point by point. You can type an answer or photograph handwritten working, and Mark grades it line by line and says where the marks went — not just a score. Where he cannot decide, he says so instead of guessing.
How do I sign in?
With your iMessage number. Mark texts you a six-digit code and you type it in; there is no password to invent and no email to verify. That number is the one he uses for your revision afterwards.
Do I need an iPhone?
For Mark, yes — he runs over iMessage, so you need an iPhone, iPad or Mac to text him. The Markly web app, with the question bank, timed papers and your progress, works in any browser on any device.
What does it cost?
Free through your first exam period. No card, and no trial that quietly starts charging.
Which courses does it cover?
Any course whose material you can upload. Students are using it for engineering, medicine, law, economics, maths and psychology, but nothing about it is course-specific — it reads the papers you give it.
