The deal, in the order it matters.
Markly is in closed beta and free through your first exam period. These are the terms you agree to by using it.

Who can use it
Anyone sixteen or over. You need an iMessage number you control, because that number is both how you sign in and how Mark reaches you. One account per person, and the number on it has to be yours.
What you upload
Your material stays yours. You give us permission to store it, read it and set questions from it for the purpose of running your revision, and nothing else — we do not use it to train models and we do not share it.
You are responsible for having the right to upload what you upload. Past papers, mark schemes and textbook chapters are usually your university’s or a publisher’s copyright, and a licence to read something as a student is not always a licence to copy it elsewhere. Check before you upload material that is not yours, and tell us if something should not be there — we will remove it.
Using it honestly
Markly is for practice. Using it during an exam, test or assessment where outside help is not permitted is a matter between you and your university, and it is not what this is for. Do not use it to break your institution’s rules, and do not use it to break anyone else’s: no attempts to reach other students’ accounts, no automated hammering of the sign-in flow, no using Mark to message people who did not ask to be messaged.
What the beta promises
Less than a finished product does, and it is better to say so. Markly is provided as it is: there is no uptime guarantee, features change, and a beta can lose a day to a bug. Marking is careful — where it cannot decide it says so rather than guessing — but it is not a substitute for your marker, and a mark it gives you is not a mark your university has given you.
What it costs
Nothing, through your first exam period. There is no card on file, so nothing can start charging you by surprise. If that changes, you will be told before it applies to you and you can leave with your data.
Ending it
You can end it at any time: text Mark “delete everything” and the account and its history are gone within 24 hours, after an export if you want one. We can end it too, for the things in Using it honestly above, and we will tell you why.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, Markly is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and that explicitly includes exam results. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited, and nothing here affects your statutory rights as a consumer in the EU.
Law
Dutch law applies, and the courts of Rotterdam have jurisdiction, without taking away any protection the law of your own country of residence gives you.
Changes
If these change, the date at the top changes and you are told in the app before the change applies to you.
